Right on schedule, as predicted by the National Phenological Network, the lilac has bloomed. The sand cherry was earlier by about a week. Close behind will be the black lace elderberry and the Delphinium. The first bloom award, however, goes to the Vinca in the turtlearium. It's such a warm corner of the yard that it goes off a month before anything else.
